WeWriWa: Take Me In, Sighed the Snake . . . PRINCE OF HONOR/HOUSE OF TERRIOT 4-Book Boxed Set, #NewRelease #BookDeals

While I’m powering through final edits for RISE BY MOONLIGHT, this month I’ll be sharing from the four books leading up to the climactic end of the By Moonlight shapeshifter series, starting with PRINCE OF HONOR, Turow and Sylvia Terriot’s tumultuous story. He’s the shy, loyal brother charged by his king to return the female he’s always loved to their mountaintop home where she’ll face fatal charges of treason. She’s a desperate schemer struggling against her conscience to save her life at the cost of the only male she’s ever trusted. Here’s a peek at their dire situation.

Turow knew better than to believe what she wanted him to see—what he wanted to see, still aching all over from his last lesson. Better to die with some dignity intact than to lead this lovely serpent to the bosom of their family.

He stared at the key she dangled before him—to his cuffs and his freedom.

“When he finds it gone,” she continued with less amusement and more trepidation, “I’ll be in his sites, too, so swear you’ll protect me, Turow, and we can go home.”

Such a sweet, deadly deal, like everything Sylvia offered, too good to be totally true. He had no desire to remain chained to this chair until James arrived with a machete, but once burned and scarred by this female more deeply than any of his brother’s tortures, he didn’t jump at the opportunity.

“There’s only one way I can protect you if we return to the compound.”

She regarded him warily, sensing bad news behind his smooth offer but having no choice. She swallowed then tipped her chin up to an arrogant angle and asked, “What is it?

“You return to our mountain wearing the mark of our bond.”

The dynamics between Turow and Sylvia are spark-filled, heart-aching and always a surprise, making them one of my favorite couples.

“Fantabulous. Gideon has a gift for creating relationships with people who are total opposites and making it work. I was not sure that Sylvia could be redeemed, but Gideon proved me wrong, her character depictions and their interactions are stellar. Besides the hot, hot sexy times, one of the best things was Turow working to teach Sylvia how to love. A superb start to a new series. A Five Cups CTRR Award Recommended Read!”  Coffee Time Romance & More

PRINCE OF HONOR is the first of four H.o.T. books included in the HOUSE OF TERRIOT 4book boxed set, now priced at only $3.99!

While not chained to the keyboard, here’s a look at what I’ve been doing since sneaking out like a masked bandit to purchase pretties for the patio.

Excuse me while I head out to my tranquil space and bask . . . right after I check to see what you’ve been doing.

  1. Should he trust her? As he said, once burned... You present his dilemma well. Good job on the patio planting. Haven't gotten my plants yet. Need to get the weeds out first. Ugh.

    1. That's why I do patio planters! My sister will be weeding her areas until fall while I sit back with my cat and coffee and enjoy mine.

  2. Sounds like a solution neither of them will admit to wanting. I guess it depends on how much she wants in.

    1. Not so much wants as NEEDS! But it's not an awful solution!

  5. The solution doesn't seem like a good one. I can't wait to see what is decided.

  6. Bond, eh? As in his mate? That strikes me as a pretty high price.

  7. What a smooth deal! An offer she can't refuse or they're both in the soup. I wonder if he's going to get more than he bargained for in this deal? Excellent snippet!

  9. Ahh, that's one way to reel her in. The mark of the bond for protection...

Nice dish gardens! They have the cutest little fairy garden creatures and houses at the dollar tree. :-) You have a nice peaceful place to hang out.

    1. Thanks, Teresa! Now all he has to do is set the hook. I've got a bunch of little plant stakes with orbs and moons etc to dress up and support my growing things. Hard work at first then . . . ahhhh.
