He’d never asked to be a figurehead for his clan. In the anonymous shadows of his earlier years nothing had been expected of him except obedience and unquestioning action. His opinions, his beliefs, his choices never entered the equation. A simple, linear existence well-suited to a sheltered upbringing beneath a constant whisper of unknown threat. Then Charlotte Caissie blew into his life like a Category Five, uprooting his security, leaving him flapping helplessly as she ripped away his self-protections to demand he choose between impossible opposites. Darkness or limelight. No real choice in the end. One he’d never regret making.

Max first reappeared on my computer screen at a Write In Retreat. After almost two years (when it used to take only four months!) of writing this sucker, it almost doesn’t seem real doing PR posts, especially knowing it’ll be the last time for this series. Oh, no! Separation anxiety seeping in already. Must medicate with ice cream. One thing I have enjoyed, though, is playing on graphics program, Canva to do my PR posts. Here’s one of my favorites.
If you see my promos pop up in your media feeds, I’d appreciate a Share! And speaking of share, RISE BY MOONLIGHT will be featured in my posts until I figure out what I want to write next. It’s been so long, I’ve almost forgotten what it was like to start Page 1!
Looking forward to seeing what you’ve up to as this July surrenders to August. Stay safe out there, Masked Warriors!!
