WeWriWa: Meet Max Savoie . . . RISE BY MOONLIGHT now available for Pre-Order!

The minute he stepped out from the dark shadows of his Mobster boss’s porch to tell Detective Charlotte Caissie he’d known it was her since she’d turned off the main road ... from the scent her perfume, I knew I was in it for the long haul with Max Savoie. But I wasn’t expecting it to be for over a decade and 15 books! RISE BY MOONLIGHT, the final installment in the series, just went up for pre-order and will be released on August 3 in all formats (providing ibooks cooperates!). In honor of my hero, meet Max.

He’d never asked to be a figurehead for his clan. In the anonymous shadows of his earlier years nothing had been expected of him except obedience and unquestioning action. His opinions, his beliefs, his choices never entered the equation. A simple, linear existence well-suited to a sheltered upbringing beneath a constant whisper of unknown threat. Then Charlotte Caissie blew into his life like a Category Five, uprooting his security, leaving him flapping helplessly as she ripped away his self-protections to demand he choose between impossible opposites. Darkness or limelight. No real choice in the end. One he’d never regret making.

He might not always agree with her path, but Max honored her right to boldly walk it, just as she’d cautiously embraced the knowledge of who and what he was. If they could overcome those obstacles . . .

Max and Charlotte return for the explosive conclusion of the “By Moonlight” series . . .

and the stakes have never been higher!

He’s the Promised One

A Mobster’s attack dog turned legitimate business powerhouse, Max Savoie is the reluctant leader of New Orleans’ shapeshifter clan. They’ve kept to anonymous shadows, working and living unnoticed by the human world until their new Shifter King’s past draws dangerous outsiders who threaten all.

She’s the Protector

A fiercely determined NOPD detective, Charlotte Caissie has sworn to defend her beloved city and her unborn child from both criminals and otherworldly factions at war. While standing boldly at the side of her mate/husband, secrets from the past return to shake the foundation of her beliefs.

They have a Problem

Walking a marital tight rope between opposite worlds, Max and Cee Cee’s paths place truth and trust at odds when outside threats force enemies to become allies. The time to take a stand for their family and their future is at hand. Time to rise together for the survival of all they love!

“Every delicious word on the page exhilarates with a sensuous ferocity. Hopelessly addicted.” – NYT bestselling author, Darynda Jones

Max first reappeared on my computer screen at a Write In Retreat. After almost two years (when it used to take only four months!) of writing this sucker, it almost doesn’t seem real doing PR posts, especially knowing it’ll be the last time for this series. Oh, no! Separation anxiety seeping in already. Must medicate with ice cream. One thing I have enjoyed, though, is playing on graphics program, Canva to do my PR posts. Here’s one of my favorites.

If you see my promos pop up in your media feeds, I’d appreciate a Share! And speaking of share, RISE BY MOONLIGHT will be featured in my posts until I figure out what I want to write next. It’s been so long, I’ve almost forgotten what it was like to start Page 1!

Looking forward to seeing what you’ve up to as this July surrenders to August. Stay safe out there, Masked Warriors!!
