Silas caught her scent.

The fact that his mysterious and murderous lone wolf female chose to conceal herself amongst trusting sheep wasn’t his concern, so he drew no attention to her as he continued to the door and out into the sultry night. There, he chafed his arms restlessly until the static-like sensations eased.

Thrill of thrills came when Pocket Books asked me to expand my “By Moonlight” world beyond the two main characters who established it in the first four books of the series. It’s not often that a writer gets to deepen and explore the paranormal world she (or he) loves, especially when I created it to do just that – to make every character unique and LARGE enough to carry their own adventure. A pretty ambitious plan made twenty-two years and fifteen books ago! But the minute I introduced Silas MacCreedy, Cee Cee’s steadfast NOPD partner with a mysterious past, and Monica Fraser, a dangerous enigma with a hidden agenda, fireworks ensued making them one of my favorite couples!
